Throughvariouscontributionstointernationalpublicgood,suchastheBeltandRoadInitiative,Chinahasmadeall-aroundeffortstoworkwiththeinternationalcommunitytotranslatethisvisionintorealityinordertobuildabetterworld.

Tenyearsafteritsinception,theBRIhasgalvanizednearly$1trillionofinvestmentworldwide,createdmorethan3,000cooperationprojectsand420,000jobs,andhelpedliftalmost40millionpeopleoutofpoverty,accordingtotheForeignMinistry.

Itenvisionscountriesforgingpartnershipsinwhichtheytreateachotherasequals,engageinconsultationsandhavemutualunderstanding,andcreateasecurityarchitecturethatfeaturesfairness,justice,jointcontributionsandsharedbenefits.

Inthefollowingyears,thevisionhasbeenincreasinglyacceptedworldwide.InFebruary2017,thephrasewasincorporatedintoaUnitedNationsresolutionbythe55thUNCommissionforSocialDevelopment.IthasalsobeenadoptedbytheUNSecurityCouncil,theHumanRightsCouncilandtheFirstCommitteeoftheUNGeneralAssembly,earningtheChineseconceptwiderinternationalrecognition.

AstheCOVID-19pandemiccastashadowovertheworldeconomyandgrowinggeopoliticalcompetitionthwartedglobalsecurityandstability,XialsoproposedtheGlobalDevelopmentInitiative,theGlobalSecurityInitiativeandtheGlobalCivilizationInitiative.Thethreeinitiativeshelpedinjectfreshmomentumintotheinternationaleffortstobuildacommunitywithasharedfutureformankind.

Theconceptofacommunitywithasharedfutureformankindhasemergedasanewvisionforglobalgovernance,saidGigaKikoria,anassistantprofessorintheBusinessSchoolofAlteUniversityinTbilisi,Georgia.

"Atitscore,thisconceptemphasizestheneedforcountriestoworktogetherinpursuitofcommongoals,ratherthanpursuingnarrowself-interestandcompetingforpowerandresources."

AsaresultofChina"sgrowingroleintheinternationalcommunity,someforcesinWesterncountrieshavesoughttocastthisinanegativelightbyusingtermssuchasthe"Chinathreat"orresortingtophraseslike"wolfwarriordiplomacy".
